Who are we?
The Del Norte Breastfeeding Coalition is a partnership of people and organizations in the community who are committed to supporting local women--especially supporting local women to breastfeed their children. We would like for breastfeeding to be the cultural and social norm in Del Norte County!
Members include OB nurses, Public Health Nurses, a midwife, IBCLCs, representatives from WIC, First 5, Partnership HealthPlan, SNAP-Ed, and interested community members. If you are interested in being a member or partnering with us and would like to help make breastfeeding normal in Del Norte County, let us know!

Why did we create this website?
The Del Norte Breastfeeding Coalition supports breastfeeding in the community. But breastfeeding is just one part of being a parent. Other factors contribute to the overall health of women, children, fathers, and families. We created this website for families to use to find and access resources in Del Norte County so they can be successful and healthy!
In 2018, Del Norte County Public Health's Maternal Child Adolescent Health (MCAH) Program recognized the importance of having an online "living" resource guide for Del Norte County and has expanded the website to include parents and caregivers.
